St. John Bosco Visits San Ildefonso Parish

The Relics of St. John Bosco are making a pilgrimage around the world to prepare for the celebration of the 200th Anniversary of the Saint's birth on August 16, 2015. The worldwide pilgrimage will make a stop in Salesian schools and parishes, and some cathedrals where majority of the faithful can view the relic and pray to the saint.

Fr. Pascual Chavez, SDB, the Rector Major of the Salesians had directed the worldwide pilgrimage, hoping to renew the desire to know and love the Father and Teacher of the Youth and reignite the passion and mission for the young.
A resin replica of the body of St. John Bosco, the relic contains the saint's right hand in a sealed case and inserted at the chest of the sculpture.

My Family were able to witness the relic's visitation in San Ildefonso Parish in Makati City.

A light truck specifically made for the occasion is being used to transport the relic as it goes from one city to another.
